Fall of 2010 will begin my 19th year of teaching and my 8th at GRHS.  I have taught grades kindergarten-college.  For many years, I taught in rural schools in Sheridan county, then moved to junior high on the reservation, and finally here at GRHS.  I was also an English adjunct faculty member of Oglala Lakota College for many years.  I was head speech coach for six years and last year became the junior class sponsor.  I like to have students not only read and write, but also make numerous presentations to the class.  I believe students should be involved in extra curricular activities to become contributing members of the school community.  The emphasis in my classroom is grammar, reading, writing, participation, and cooperation.
